AAC dredged 11,000 CY of material and removed and replaced the existing pile and floating dock. In addition, a new ADA accessible concrete abutment and 80” gangway were installed for better access to the dock. With a limited work window and the small work area inside the marina, AAC modified the pile driving plan to use a land based crane. The dredging and pile driving had to happen simultaneously due to the fish windows. AAC used a 300-ton crane on shore to demo the old dock, install the new floats, and drive the new pile.
The project was completed on time and on budget despite running into construction debris and large quantities of riprap while dredging in the marina.
