The first of two projects at the Little Goose Dam, Advanced American Construction, Inc. (AAC) worked on an expedited timeline to fabricate, deliver and install several new components to the dam.
AAC provided 1 new weir and lifting beams, a closure gate, dogging beams, vent tubes, slot tubes, slot fillers and stop log. AAC partnered with Jesse Engineering, who fabricated the structural steel pieces in Tacoma, WA. They were then shipped by truck down I-5 to Vancouver, Washington where they were loaded onto a barge with the largest mobile harbor crane in North America. The barge traveled 280 miles upriver to Little Goose Dam for the final installation.
