Refurbishing Efforts on Trinity Dam set to Start on Nov. 7
Trinity Dam Hemispherical Bulkhead Refurbishment Project
The Bureau of Reclamation and Advanced American Construction, will begin to remove the existing intake cover sections and bulkhead assembly from the intake structure and refurbising. Testing the guide frame, cleaning out the Bellmouth and providing a temporary cover to the intake structure until refurbishment is completed. Reinstallation of the refurbished bulkhead assembly will be followed by an inspection of the concrete conduit upstream. Lastly, the bulkhead is unseated from Bellmouth and stored at the top of the intake structure and covers are reinstalled.
