Project Details

AAC was contacted by Nu Venture Air Services to aid in the salvage and recovery of a small aircraft that crashed into the Columbia River near Cascade Locks, OR.  AAC mobilized a surface-supplied dive crew and a crane barge to the site.

AAC's team used sonar to locate the aircraft on the bottom of the river.  Once located, AAC’s divers entered the water and assessed the aircraft’s condition.  Rigging was attached to the aircraft by AAC’s drivers and the aircraft was hoisted out of the water and onto the crane barge deck.  The aircraft was transferred to an offload location for disassembly and ground transport by Nu Venture Air Services.
